The importance of water in your travels
I was already in Bolivia; specifically I had just arrived in Sucre, coming from Potosí, I will never forget. I had been traveling behind my back for a few months, having already passed through India, Nepal, Thailand, Cambodia, Australia, New Zealand, Chile and Argentina. I had plenty of travel experience, or so I thought, so, probably unconsciously, I let my guard down.
Or I also remember that if, while visiting France or Germany, where some relatives resided, one of us was wrong, again what was heard was the phrase "It must be because of the change of waters".
I am not an expert in the field, but experience tells me that water has different components depending on where it is on the planet. On the other hand our body gets used since we are born to the water that is in the place we inhabit, and from which we do not usually move for a few years. All this, making a simple use of me common sense, it indicates to me that a reaction of our organism is reasonable when ingesting local water in a country that moves far away from the standards we inhabit during our daily lives. This is my humble conclusion. If I am wrong and you have the right explanation, I will deeply thank you for sharing it with all of us. I am one of those who thinks it is good to know why things happen to us.
Anyway, I just wanted to convey my experience so you remember to keep an eye on the water during your trips.
