Room Lounge Bar, De Tapas by Galicia Pontedetapas2014
Seven years have been the Pontevedres, and visitors, enjoying the bridge of the Constitution and the most delicious Immaculate of Northern Spain. In Pontevedra they had the great idea of invigorating some festive dates by organizing a tapas creation and tasting event (with prizes included) called “Ponte de Tapas” (or #PonteDeTapas on social networks). In the VII Edition, from November 28 to December 8, to which I went, the 45 participating establishments in the city offered customers one, two or even three different tapas, at two unique prices each, 1.50 € or € 2.50.
As I told you when talking about the tapas of Ferrol and # TapéateFerrol, from September to December and in the 7 main cities of Galicia the #DeTapasxGalicia event was held. Establishments of all kinds participated by creating tapas that were sold at a fixed price and demonstrated the good health of Galician cuisine. In addition to tasting them at an almost symbolic cost, customers could vote for their favorite tapas and get prizes.
In Pontevedra, tapas competed in three categories, Traditional Tapa (made with local products), Creative Tapa (new creations with local products) and Cocktail, which is the category charged at € 2.50. Most of the premises participated in a single category, although eleven of them did it in two and even three. Flavors and options for all palates, such as those of these 10 establishments whose tapas I tried (yes, 10, ignoring the advice of any endocrine).
In this first part, for reasons of extension I have divided it into two articles, I bring you five of the establishments and tapas I tried in Pontevedra, during this Ponte De Tapas 2014. Next week I will bring you the second and last installment of this tour gastronomic in Galicia through the tapas of Ferrol and Pontevedra.
Casa Verdún, De Tapas by Galicia Pontedetapas2014
Centennial, traditional and highly recommended, Taberna Casa Verdún has been serving food and drinks since 1909. His participation in # PonteDeTapas2014 made it with a nod to other times and the snack or dessert of a generation, the Pink Panther. His Panteira Nosa (Pink Panther) consisted of noso bread (pan), nosa tetilla cheese, noso lacon, nosmos, and noso chorizo.
Reading the ingredients on the side of the wrap ("noso", of course) and then seeing what we have in hand is a contrast to the senses for texture and color. When we taste it, soft, fluffy and delicious, the contrast is accentuated and the result is delicious.Address: Calle del Real, 46
